To see one of our practitioners for individual, couple, or family counselling, or to join a group workshop.
The following groups are in a therapeutic group counselling format. Due to the sensitive nature of this type of counselling, interested participants must first have an initial assessment with a Wellness Place therapist prior to joining a group. The assessment will determine if the selected group will meet the participant’s needs, and will prepare him or her to participate effectively in a group counselling setting.

Anger Management Group
Eight educational and therapeutic sessions (5-20 participants) based on the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), designed to develop the ability to understand and manage anger. Program objectives: learn how to identify stressors and control reactions to respond in a socially appropriate manner, and ways to decrease emotional arousal often associate with anger. In Spanish, with other languages available based on need.

Trauma Focused Group
A 12-session workshop for adults (up to 20 participants), designed to help participants explore demanding or negative experiences, manage emotions and become more flexible by developing an attitude of acceptance. Program objectives: explore relationship with internal emotional experiences; become more flexible and develop greater acceptance attitude in life; develop positive attitude and personal growth; and, improve quality of life and wellbeing.
