The Toronto New Life Wellness Place is taking action to help flatten the curve on the spread of COVID-19. It is unclear of the impact this virus will have on our health and communities over the next few months. What is certain, however, is that this is a stressful time as we try to discover a new normal despite pressures from work, the environment, politics, injustice, and the challenges of caring for children and aging parents.

These concerns are real especially as we are being asked to isolate ourselves just when we do not want to feel alone. Your mental health programming and support is more important than ever and we will continue to provide you and your employees with the support that you need to stay psychologically healthy.

At the Toronto New Life Wellness Place, we are committed to providing clients with access to counselling during this time. Should a client choose, they can opt in for phone sessions instead. All workshops and group therapy will be cancelled until further notice.

We encourage everyone to remain positive, and to be kind and compassionate to each other because together we will overcome fear and anxiety. Sending you all good and positive vibes.

March 13, 2020, 1:00pm

On Wednesday March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 crisis a global pandemic. Following this announcement, on Thursday March 12, 2020, the Province of Ontario announced that it would be closing schools for two weeks after March Break. This means that publicly funded schools in Ontario will be closed from March 14 to April 5, 2020.

In light of this news, our offices are practicing the same safety measures as the MNLCT offices.

Please click on the MNLCT webpage mnlct.org/covid-19/ for more detailed information.
