I am a registered psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience both in and outside of Canada, and educated with a Master’s degree in Psychology, focusing on psychosomatic disorders. I am a therapist, entrepreneur and educator.
My professional approach:
I work with my clients using a social justice-oriented, non-judgmental approach to mental health. My approach to therapy aims to help clients fulfill their potential and become their own person. I respect clients’ authority and control of their lives, of which I believe they are experts. I aim to empower clients, following a strength-based perspective, which asserts that despite life’s difficulties, we all retain strength that can be used to improve our quality of life. Finally, I believe there are resources in every environment from which individuals can benefit to improve their lives.
My work is informed by a humanistic approach and includes these practice modalities: CBT, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy.
My practice focuses on helping individuals build safety skills and a commitment to a higher purpose in their lives. I will assist you to enhance your emotional intelligence through learning emotional management skills; enhance your social relations and build cognitive skills; enhance your self-protecting and self-correcting skills; set healthy boundaries in order to accept social responsibilities; build social connection, and establish healthy attachment relationships.
